FAQs
K-beauty philosophy recommends starting preventatively — most skincare experts suggest introducing a gentle eye cream in your mid-to-late 20s, before fine lines become established. The eye area is the thinnest skin on the face and shows signs of ageing and dehydration earliest. Starting early with hydrating and peptide-rich formulas is more effective than trying to reverse damage later.
Look for eye creams containing niacinamide (brightens pigmentation), caffeine (reduces puffiness and improves circulation), and vitamin C or arbutin for lightening. Apply with your ring finger using a gentle tapping motion, never drag or pull the delicate eye area skin.
Dispense a rice-grain-sized amount and warm it between your ring fingers. Gently tap (don't rub) around the orbital bone, from the inner corner under the eye, across the under-eye, and up to the brow bone. Apply morning and night, after your serum and before your moisturiser. The ring finger is recommended because it naturally applies the least pressure.
Most eye creams are formulated for the orbital area (the bone around the eye socket), not directly on the mobile eyelid. Some lightweight eye serums can be used closer to the lash line, but always check the product instructions. Avoid heavy creams on the eyelid as they can cause puffiness or milia (small white bumps).
